The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Zamfara State, Bilyaminu Yusuf Shinkafi, has outlined security and stability as key priorities of his vision for the state ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Shinkafi stressed that the protection of lives and property must remain central to any meaningful development agenda for Zamfara, particularly at a time when insecurity continues to affect communities and economic activities across the state.
He emphasized the importance of a coordinated approach to security, involving government institutions, security agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders and residents in efforts to restore lasting peace across the state.
According to Shinkafi, a safer Zamfara would provide the foundation for residents to pursue farming, education, commerce and other legitimate economic activities without fear.
He also underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation between communities and security agencies, while promoting proactive measures capable of addressing security challenges before they escalate.
Shinkafi said his administration, if elected, would place the security and welfare of residents at the centre of its governance agenda, while pursuing policies aimed at creating the conditions necessary for sustainable economic and social development.
The ADC candidate called on stakeholders across Zamfara to work collectively towards building a peaceful and prosperous state, stressing that lasting development cannot be achieved without security and stability.
