BREAKING : ZAMFARA POLITICS: YARI, MARAFA, OTHERS, IN CRITICAL DECISION MAKING PROCESS TO CHANGE POLITICAL PARTY.


A report just reaching this medium revealed that the former governor of Zamfara state Abdulaziz Yari along with former Senator Kabiru Marafa are currently in a critical decision making over process to change political party.

The sources said, Yari has invited stakeholders from all the 14 local government areas of the state for a meeting scheduled to hold in his Talata Mafara residence on this coming Saturday.

Some of those planning to change the political party, according to the sources, are Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa, a commissioner with the National Population Commission Muttaka Rini, Ambassador Husaini Moriki, the chairman of the National Broadcasting Commission Ikra Bilbis, a commissioner with the Federal Character Commission, Sani Garba Gusau General, Senator Tijjani Yahaya Kaura, the EFCC embattled Dauda Lawal.
Others are the controversial Police Housing Contractor Shehu Isa Gusau who has since been battling to account for the N4bn police contracts for the construction of police housing units in Zamfara and Sokoto, which he failed to execute and the money diverted and Alh Ibrahim Shehu Bakauye, currently facing charges for diverting huge sums of money meant for sports, as well as Sagir Hamida.

The source said the meeting was summoned to inform the the stakeholders of the defection plan and invite those wishing to go along with them in the new political party.

A source however said Marafa has advised Yari to remain in the APC due to the series of litigation cases he has with both EFCC and the ICPC over financial scams, including a threat of possible audit of his tenure as Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum.

Marafa said he will along with Yaris boys and the other duo co- travellers will move to another political party or form a faction in the APC for ant-party activities.
