NO FACTIONAL APC IN ZAMFARA, STAKEHOLDERS SAY ONLY MEDIA SPECULATION.

Stakeholders comprising 14 Local Government Sole Administrators, Area Development Council Administrators, Special Advisers’ Forum and a delegation from Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara state today declared as non-existent, any faction of the All Progressives Congress in the state.

They jointly made the declaration during a solidarity visit on the newly inaugurated leadership of APC in the state under the Chairmanship of Tukur Umar Danfulani at the state party Secretariat along Sokoto by-pass road, Gusau.

The party chieftains from the grassroots of the state called on the state leadership to disregard all those claiming to have factionalized the party in the state pointing out that a faction will only exist if it has bases either at the state or national levels of the party.

They explained that since the National Secretariat of the party asked members to revalidate their membership, anyone who failed to respect and abide by that instruction should not claim any right in the party because the membership of such persons will be hanging.

They also observed that as members or leaders of the party who enjoyed support and respect of their subordinates in the past, those trying to factionalize the party at the moment should realize their time in those positions are over and respect those presently in position of authority as provided by the party constitution.

Accordingly they said, if such persons do not abide by the party hiararchy and constitution, they do not deserve the respect of genuine members and of those in authority.

They reiterated their commitment to the party and recognized the position of the governor as the party leader in the state with Honourable Tukur Umar Danfulani and his executive members and the chairman and leaders of the party.

Umar Jangebe while the Special Advisers’ Forum was led by Honourable Ibrahim Ma’aji and the Bungudu local government delegates came through their sole administrator, Honourable Muhammadu Maiturare Sadiq.

Similarly, nine other groups and associations were also at the party’s state Headquarters to express their support and solidarity to the new party leaders.
