A northern Nigeria politician is set to honour late Debora Samuel, a Sokoto College of Education student who committed blasphemy against muslim Prophet.
The late Sokoto state college of Education student Name Deborah Samuel was killed for committing blasphemy is to be immortalised by a northern Nigeria politician and philanthropist.
A PDP gubernatorial aspirant in Zamfara state Dr Dauda Lawal Dare made the commitment over the weekend in Kaduna during a weeding ceremony of a close Christian friend.
Dr Dauda who was represented by a close associate, also a PDP senatorial candidate for Zamfara central Ikira Aliyu Bilbis said the Zamfara PDP gubernatorial candidate is set to build an orphanage school in Zuru, north west Kebbi State to be named after Late Deborah Samuel a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education Sokoto who was wrongfully lynched and burnt to dearth by her own fellow students for allegedly using some offensive languages against muslim prophet, Muhammed.
Dauda Lawal Dare who described the killing of late Debora Samuel as unfortunate, said Islam does not require muslims to take such action without going through legal process.
He expressed concern over the inability of both Sokoto State and the Federal governments to find the killers of the young lady and called on the relevant authorities to hasten justice for deceased.
"As a Muslim, there is no justification to kill none Muslim no matter the gravity of the offence he or she committed, without going through the necessary legal procedures. " By Gods grace, my foundation will soon build an orphanage in Zuru emirate kebbi Sate named after Deborah Samuel, where it will serve as a center of care and study to especially kids that lost their parents and the foundation will take care of all the expenses of both academic and none academic staff of the centre." Dr. Dare promised.
