A former Zamfara state Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice Hon Sani Takori Gummi, mni, has stressed the need for Zamfara state governor Dauda Lawal to join hands with the Federal government to defeat bandits in the state.

Hon Takori, who is also a two-time member of the House of Representatives, was reacting to the recent media chats on national television stations where the Gov attacked the minister of state for defence Hon Bello Matawallen Maradun MON who coordinated the special onslaught campaign against armed bandits in the north-west region leading to the killing of the most dangerous Bandits kingpin Halilu Buzu Sububu and a number of other bandits kingpins in Zamfara state and the other north western states.

The former member of the House of Representatives said that with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's order for the command and control Centre to relocate to Sokoto to launch the special operations against the armed bandits, the Zamfara Gov had been availed with a golden opportunity to provide the people of the state, the necessary peace needed to provide food security and other infrastructure to the people.

He said attacking the minister of state for defence was unnecessary and unjustifiable, particularly when the exercise has been yielding fruitful results.

" It is an old adage, when elders decide, keep silence on matters that threaten the moral, social, and wellbeing of the community than that community is doomed.

"In my up date, which is still available on my platform, I mentioned that the coming of H E matawalle as minister of defence state may support the fight against Bandit and Banditry in the state. I mentioned that if the two of you support each other, than together you will be victorious over these moster banditry that has been destroying lives and properties of the people of Zamfara state, causing high level of poverty amongst our people.

"I categorically stated that blame game is defeatist attitude.

"my humble belief was that what ever are the bitter political rivalry between the two of you, this monster will compelled all of you and indeed all citizens of zamfara state to join hands in defeating the monster.

"Your excellency, you are well aware that the president is the commonder in chief of the armed forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the president under our constitution had right to delegate any of his ministers to undertake any assignments on his behalf.

"Such constitutional right was the reason that H E Bello Mohammed matawalle, the minister of state for defence and all the Service Chiefs were sent on a mission to fight and defeat the bandits and banditry in the north - west, more particularly in Zamfara state.

"As citizens of this state, we were all happy that now your excellency will have the support of the federal might to defeat the bandits and banditry in the

state.

Sir, many of us were surprised how this well-intended gesture of the federal government was turned into bitter enimity and exchange of bitter words, as if you are not happy with this development.

"I have carefully followed and listened to your programmes in all the media houses you have granted interview Hon minister Bello matawalle was subject of your criticism.

"Solidarity is not an act of charity but a mutual aide between the forces fighting for the same objective.

" Your excellency, your utterance does not befit your position of the governor

" Further more, no one will believe it is you Dauda Lawal Dare PhD, can bring himself so low even to make reference to personal affairs of the Hon Minister of state for defence Mohammed Bello matawalle.

"Your excellency, I'm sorry to say.that you have exhibited high level of intolerance in these programmes.

"In conclusion, the operation is recording many successes, and indeed, the merit of its victory will be earned by tge Hon minister of state Hon Mohammed Bello matawalle.

"I hope you may have the wisdom to listen to your programme and perhaps revisit your conscience." Takori stated
