SCANDAL: HOUSE OF REPS MEMBER COLLECTED FIFTY MILLION NAIRA FOR FAKE CONTRACTS.

 




A Members of the House of Representatives has been arrested by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over fake contracts scandals.


The member Hon Kabiru Amadu Mai Palace representing Gusau /Tsafe Federal Constituency was arrested following series of allegations of financial scandals involving millions of naira he collected from several contractors to give some contracts from the national assembly which were later discovered to be fake contracts.


Following his arrest, members of his constituency have now took to social media and streets in the federal constituency condemning him.


They said the condemned in strongest terms, the conduct of their representative at the National Assembly Hon Kabiru Amadu Mai Palace for duping people to extort money through 419.


In various comments on social media platforms, over 50, 000 views of the stories of his involvement in such dubious acts, commentators described him as ingreat and irresponsible Reps Member of the highest order.


In one of such comments attached to a letter written to the Hon Member who claimed his office was given United Nations / World Bank Relief Intervention Project for 2021 and the North -East Development Commission Provision of Livelihood Support to Returnees of Villages, but later found to be hoax, a member of the Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency cursed the Hon Member astonishingly.


In the letter written to Hon Kabiru Amadu Mai Palace, he was given an ultimatum to refund the sum of fifty million naira he collected from contractors he duped, pretending to award them with the contracts mentioned above.


Investigations on the matter revealed that the Reps member has duped several persons in the name of awarding them contracts, only to collect their money without fulfilling the promises.


Some of those who spoke to this medium told our correspondent that they had to borrow money from their banks with interests to bribe the member to be enlisted among those to be given the contracts that were later found to be fake.
