Reports from Zamfara State say since when Gov Dauda Lawal Dare was picked up in a helicopter by the former Inspector General of Police MD Abubakar and Kubna Baba Gusau without his aides, the Gov has not been seen for the past 4 days.

The reports revealed that the Gov was picked on Tuesday, with the intention of meeting with General Aliyu Mohammed Gusau whom some sources revealed was offended by the Gov, to apologise in order for the general to intervene in the ongoing election petition trial when the Courtvof Appeal declared the election inconclusive and ordered for a rerun election in three local governments of Maradun, Birnin Magaji and Bukkuyum.

An investigation conducted over the mysterious disappearance of the Gov, however, revealed that both the Gov, former IG, and Lubna are now in Senegal for rituals.

Gov Dauda Lawal Dare was said to have abruptly vanished from the state after being sacked by the Appeals Court

Another report says Governor Dauda Lawal had switched off three of his cellphones since the former Inspector General of Police, MD Abubakar, picked him up in a private helicopter  to an undisclosed location.  Mustapha Jafaru Kaura, a media assistant to the governor, said his boss was picked by the former IG without any aides, and since then, there was no news about his whereabouts.

More information  was hiwever obtained which indicates that the State Deputy Governor Malam Mani Mummuni had made numerous attempts to reach his principal, Dauda Lawal, via his official MTN line and other numbers, only to be informed that "the number your are trying to call is not reachable," the deputy governor said.

"The Zamfara State commissioner for finance and his counterpart, the Honourable commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, disputed the claimed by the Deputy governor alleging that they" have been in telephone conversation with the governor from Senegal where he went on official State engagements.

It may be recall that over a hundred people were abducted in Mutunji, Mary Local government on Friday night for refusing to pay 100 million naira a bandits kingpin Damina requested 3 communities to pay as condition of allowing them freedom.

Meanwhile, the remaining 30 FUH abducted students are still in captivity with the bandits.
