Some desperate politicians who do not wish Zamfara well, have started unleashing their unhappiness over the remarkable successes in Gov Bello Matawalle's latest attempt to bring lasting solutions to the lingering insecurity he inherited from the immediate past administration of former Gov Abudullaziz Yari Abubakar.
In a secret meeting of the political thugs of some powerful opposition politicians who swore to make Zamfara ungovernable for Gov Bello Matawalle, a group of political thugs bowed to disrupt the ongoing onslaught of bandits by causing mischiefs and inciting the general public against the government.
A member of the meeting who told our reporter that he would never allowed his interest to override that of the state, but pleaded anonymity, said since the beginning of the recent measures of finding lasting solutions to the over a decade crisis, their godfathers have been holding series of meetings on how to sabotage the project.
He said the political godfathers said if the governor is allowed to succeed in ending armed banditry in the state, their future political prosperity will spell doom.
The meeting therefore resolved to using both conventional and social media to carry out propaganda and miscellaneous campaigns against the government by inciting the general public to protest against the measures being put in place to find a lasting solution to the lingering crisis.
According to our source, the group intends to use International media organisations like the BBC, VOA and France Radio International to perfect their plans.
He said the plans are that, after the International media organisations broadcast negative reports, they will use their media handles to rebroadcast the clips by sharing and tagging their followers.
According to him, plans have already been concluded for the commencement of the project which is going to financed by a former bank executive and a former governor. The source revealed that one Mikailu Mafara chaired the meeting which took place in a hotel at Magadishu area of Kaduna state.
