A reliable source closed to former Zamfara governor Abdulaziz Yari who pleaded anonymity confirmed to this online medium that the Zamfara state PDP Chairman Col Bala Mande rtd yesterday narrowly escaped death as he furiously drove and knocked his car at the PDP national headquarters in Abuja.
The retired Col who was a one time Nasarawa state governor was said to be challenged and accused of insincerity by a closed associate of former Gov Yari Senator Tijjani Yahaya Kaura who represented Zamfara North in the senate.
Tijjani Yahaya Kaura, who is said be eyeing the seat of Deputy Governor in Yari's arrangement for 2023 elections confronted and challenged the state PDP Chairman for rejecting the Yari arrangement where the former governor bought all the forms for elective positions for the 2023 general elections to restore the mandates of all those who worn the 2019 elections under APC, but the supreme court scuttled their mandate in a judgement.
Sen Tijjani Yahaya revealed how Col Bala Mande rtd collected from former Gov Yari the sum of 70 Million Naira to aid defeat of Sen Sahabi Ya'u Kaura in the 2019 senatorial elections, saying Yari will not trust him any longer politically.
Col Mande rtd in reaction accused Yari of manipulation and vowed not to allow the former governor that opportunity, a situation which led to the skirmishes that made Bala Mande furious and confused leading to the nocking of his car.
